alone, pain, Poetry

I can’t climb out
I don’t have the strength
To get out of this alone

And I can’t drag you down
I refuse to hurt you more
By pulling you with me

So I think I’ll just start
Accepting where I am
I think I’ll just start
Calling this pain home

Watch You Bleed

Anger, Poetry

I remember standing there
Watching you bleed
And when I think back
To what I felt
It wasn’t grief
Wasn’t fear
Or even hate
Just curiosity
Of how much blood
You deserved to lose

Loss, Love, Poetry

I’m so tired
Of standing
On this empty shore

The tide
Once so strong
So long ago

Now an ocean
Dried and gone
Sand blown away

And here I stand
On this beach
With nothing left

But broken memories
Shattered dreams
And jaded love

Do The Stars Still Shine

Loss, Love, Poetry

When you gaze
Up into the night
Do you think about
At all the stars
We used to watch
Together

Do you count them
And think of the times
Our fingers locked
All the caresses
We used to share

Or do you count
All the opportunities
That we’ve missed
All the nights
We’ve been apart
All the kisses
We never had

Or do you look
Up into the night
Without me
Slipping
Through your heart
And through your mind

Have the stars
Seemed to dim
Now that we’re apart
Or do the stars still shine
Just as bright
Now that we’re done

Un-become

Poetry

I was once
The fiery center
Of a star
I had no emotions
No memories
Just chaos
Now I’ve cooled
Coalesced
Become
Something that feels
Something that remembers
How I wish
I could go back
To un-become
And forget
What it is like
To feel
To remember
